This platform is designed to support early budgeting and comparison. FlooringCostPro does not present its calculator results as contractor quotes, appraisals, guarantees, or on-site professional assessments.

Homeowners can use it to organize a budget before comparing quotes. Contractors and estimators can also use the calculator as a planning worksheet when they enter their own current project inputs.

Content published under the FlooringCostPro Team byline represents the site’s editorial work. The byline is not presented as a licensed contractor, engineer, appraiser, manufacturer, or other credentialed professional unless a page explicitly documents such a qualification.

Every estimate is based on math that reflects how flooring projects actually happen. Area calculation. Waste allowance. Labor separation. Box rounding.

The calculations are tools, not professional judgments, and their value depends on the assumptions and inputs used.

Flooring rarely fits perfectly. Cuts go wrong. Boards crack. Boxes cannot be split.

That is why the calculator includes configurable waste allowances. The appropriate allowance depends on product format, room shape, layout, pattern, installer method, and the amount of cutting expected.

When a product is purchased by full box, the calculator rounds the required package count up so the estimate reflects whole-package purchasing rather than a fractional box.

FlooringCostPro adjusts automatically based on where you are. Users in the United States and Canada work in square feet. Users in the United Kingdom and Australia work in square meters.

Currencies switch with the region. So do the default assumptions. Labor in Texas is not labor in London.

Regional settings help with units, currency, and default assumptions, but actual local material, labor, tax, and delivery pricing still needs to be confirmed.

Easy Mode provides generalized planning assumptions for users who do not yet have current material or labor prices. It is intended for early budgeting, not as a substitute for current supplier or contractor pricing.

Pro Mode is different. It unlocks manual pricing, tax, markup, discounts, client details, and printable invoices.

Pro Mode can also be useful when a user already has current project-specific pricing and wants to enter those figures manually.

Core calculator calculations run in your browser. The calculator is designed so estimate inputs are not stored by FlooringCostPro as a server-side estimate record. Optional browser storage and third-party services are described in the Privacy Policy.

The calculator itself is designed for estimation, not for building a server-side record of your project inputs.
